Who are we?

On this page we would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are the Dutch owners of  Le Relais de Voissières and Les Camélias. 2 completely different accommodations in a beautiful part of France with as a common denominator our passion for the Sancy massif and the endless hiking possibilities of our stunning surroundings.

The owner of Le Relais de Voissières is Livia van Eijle. She was born in 1951, got married, had 2 children. After a life in politics and education and her divorce in 2000 she did face a choice: will I really go and try make a living in France or will it remain a dream? And if so, where? And what will I do in France? It became an old farm in the Auvergne. Big enough to live and welcome people. Persons, who want to take a holiday. Persons who want to give workshops. Persons, who would like to enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful environment.

The owners of les Camélias are Margriet en Erwin Derksen; a couple in their mid forties. In 2007 they decided to do something with their passion – cycling. During a holiday in early 2007 they did visit the Sancy massif for the first time. And although it was a quick visit, they both were immediately enthusiastic about the possibilities of this beautiful, varied area. In September 2007 they returned to the area and to their surprise they returned to the Netherlands 3 weeks later with a purchase contract for Les Camélias.

Besides cycling they also love to hike (in wintertime on snowshoes), cross country skiing and trial running.
